Happy 9th Birthday, Brynn!

Brynn turned 9 years old on Tuesday!  We celebrated over the weekend with an "Incredibles" themed party.

We had lots of good food...Violet's Disappearing Fruit, Elastigirl's Twisty Pasta Salad, Dash's Fast Chicken Fingers, Mr. Incredible's Hero Subs, Jack Jack's Fiery Red Koolaid, and Frozone's Milkshakes.

We played games as well.  We played charades with super hero clues, and had a really cool scavenger hunt where the kids had to use their superpowers to find their goodie bags.

Hayden showed us super speed by running like crazy around the house and crashing into walls :-)

The kids had to decipher each one of the clues by using a super power.  This clue was written with white crayon on white paper so they had to color over it to read the invisible message.

Blowing up the balloon to read the clue on it...

And after a few more clues, we finally found the goodie bags in my shoe closet!

Of course, we sang to Brynn and she blew out her candles, but I didn't get a single good picture of that.  After cake was presents, and Brynn was excited to receive all her cool new things.  Thanks, everyone!

On Brynn's birthday (Tuesday), we headed over to Grandma Gabel's for some yummy dinner and strawberry cake for Brynn's birthday.

Of course, Brynn got a few more presents - lots of really neat things for her American Girl doll!

And the boys and I had some fun, too :-)

Love my kids, and I'm thankful for a happy and healthy year for Brynn!  Praying that she continues to grow into a special, loving young lady.

New Year's Eve

We celebrated New Year's at Grandma Jane and Papa Dave's this year.  All the cousins were there, and we had a great time playing games and counting down till the New Year.

And Rebekah was there, but apparently I didn't get any pictures of her.  Here's to another awesome year!  Bring on 2015!

Christmas Festivities

Are you ready for the 5 days of Christmas??  That's literally how many days in a row we celebrated!  We started with Christmas Eve at Aunt Karen and Uncle Tom's house.  As always, there was good food, good people, and good times.  Jonas had fun catching up with his cousins (some of which he hasn't seen in a while!).

Christmas Day we had Jonas in the morning, and Brynn and Bransen in the afternoon.  Santa came, and they opened their stockings and presents from Santa.  Jonas loved his "Yo baby" (his toy to learn how to skateboard), and his buddies movies.

Brynn got some cool craft projects and games, and Bransen like his Sonic figures.

The day after Christmas we were all together for the afternoon, so we opened the presents from us to the kids and that the kids bought each other.  Their big gift was a DVD player for van, and they each got their own headphones to listen to the movies.

Day 4:  Grandma and Grandpa Gabel's house

The kids all got to open even more presents!  Brynn was excited to get an American Girl doll and some cute clothes, and Jonas and Bransen got some awesome monster trucks that go 30 mph outside.  Bransen also got some cool Minecraft stuff, and Jonas got a Lego set from The Lego Movie.  As always, there was super yummy food and great company!

Day 5:  Grandma and Papa Sirgey's house

It was sort of difficult to get decent pictures at this party, because there were so many kids!  There were people and presents everywhere!  It was a fun afternoon full of laughter, food, and gifts.

We are definitely blessed with a lot of family and love.  Christmas is a great reminder of that, but we will strive to realize it every day.  And next Christmas, we will have 1 more!
